Hi, I'm Mamta. I'm a digital content creator with roots in customer services. That's the short version.
The long one is - I'm currently working part-time as a communication and engagement assistant and am on course to complete an MSc in Data Science at Scotland's Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh Campus). I like to take my baby DSLR, get out in Edinburgh city and capture street life and cityscapes in my spare time. My therapy is dancing in my room, writing on this blog and talking to some of my best friends.
Some academic & professional interests - personally, the part of modern technology that excites me most is 'Design', making it easy for people to understand the information they're consuming, the digital tools/software they're using, etc. I love seeing the endless possibilities when going through a design process, be it content ideation, creation or delegation for any platform, or designing user interfaces for web or mobile. Sometimes, the excruciatingly tough parts of a design journey leave with some of the best lessons; however, in my experience, that journey is even more enjoyable in a collaborative environment. As I'm about to complete an MSc in Data Science (& the subject is a hot topic in almost every sector!), I'm inquisitive to find new opportunities. In this ever-changing digital era, I wonder if I'll be able to upskill my data analytical skills and use them as a superpower combining my technical and design skills. I believe, given we have been pushed to remote working globally, the combination of these skills is becoming a must in every organisation that values its people & wants to make its business accessible and work environment collaborative and interactive.
I shall stop rambling now... You see, looking back at my journey of 6 years of academia & work, I sometimes can't believe how far I've come. I'm kind of excited to see what the next 5 years have in store for me. Anyway... meanwhile, I hope you enjoy reading my blog and feel free to reach out!
